Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines

The Interdisciplinary Journal of Medical Research (IDJMR) welcomes original research articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, short communications, case reports, and invited editorials within the scope of health, medical sciences, rehabilitation, public health, allied health professions, biomedical sciences, and interdisciplinary healthcare research.

Submission Requirements

Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal. Authors are responsible for ensuring that the manuscript follows ethical research standards, includes accurate author information, and contains all required declarations.

Manuscript Preparation

Authors should prepare manuscripts in clear English using a standard academic format. The manuscript should include the title, author names and affiliations, corresponding author email, abstract, keywords, main text, references, tables, figures, acknowledgements, funding statement, conflict of interest statement, and ethical approval statement where applicable.

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo initial editorial screening. Suitable manuscripts are sent for double-blind peer review by independent reviewers. Final editorial decisions are based on originality, scientific quality, ethical compliance, relevance to the journal scope, and reviewer recommendations.

Publication Fee

The journal charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) only after a manuscript has been peer-reviewed and accepted for publication. The current APC is PKR 25,000 for national authors or USD equivalent for international authors. There are no submission fees, review fees, or fast-track publication charges.

Waiver Policy

Full or partial APC waivers may be available for eligible authors upon request. Waiver requests should be submitted to the editorial office with a brief justification. Waiver decisions do not influence editorial or peer-review decisions.

Copyright and License

Authors retain copyright of their work and grant the journal the right of first publication. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).

Ethical Requirements

Research involving human participants must include ethical approval and informed consent where applicable. Authors must declare any conflicts of interest, funding sources, and use of generative AI tools where relevant. Plagiarism, duplicate submission, data fabrication, falsification, and unethical authorship practices are not permitted.

How to Submit

Authors may submit manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system or contact the editorial office for assistance.
